An automotive electronics company recently announced a breakthrough in ABS sensor technology, developing a "dual-chip redundant detection" technology. This new technology uses two chips to simultaneously collect wheel speed signals. When a single chip fails, it automatically switches to the next chip, reducing the fault response time to 0.01 seconds and significantly improving driving safety. This technology has obtained three national patents, and the new product has passed the International Automotive Electronics Association (AEC-Q100) certification. The company stated that it will subsequently apply this technology to ABS sensors in commercial vehicles to meet the high-intensity braking requirements of heavy-duty vehicles.
